SNORE! SNORE!!

Ok, I now get why things are called "babies breath" or "soft as a baby". BUT, who started "I slept like a baby"?? Doesn't make sense to me. I'm calling it "slept like my husband". :)

4 months!

Happy 4 month Birthday!
I can't believe you're 4 months old Baby J. You are getting so big, everyday you seem to change a bit. Here are some things about you I don't want to ever forget.

  1. It is easy to make you smile, but you make us work for the good belly laughs.
  2. You're loving your hands. You're grabbing everything (including my hair), you like to rake my chest while you eat and you like to stick all your fingers in your mouth (sometimes you gag yourself).
  3. You have little stinky feet.
  4. You're not sure about the bath yet.
  5. You love watching your dad play the guitar.
  6. I don't want you to watch t.v. until you're 2. Unfortunately, your Nana & Papa showed you the Laker game a couple weeks ago and you have been looking for it ever since!
  7. Tia Heather was the first person to get a real good laugh from you. But like I said, you made her work for it.
  8. I think you are in the beginning stages of teething. You are constantly drooling and sticking blankets in your mouth.
  9. You are a good sleeper (knock on wood) & a morning person so far. You look a little confused when you first wake up. After a few seconds, you flash me a big smile. Get's me every time!
  10. You love to oohh and awee with us. I know you are trying to tell us something.

I love you so much Baby J. You are our favorite little person ever!!!!

Our weekend

What a busy weekend. I guess everything seems busier with a baby though. On Friday we gathered up the family and went down to State Street. On Friday nights Redlands now has different bands play and the Tornados were playing the "main" stage. We packed up everything we could possibly need for baby J and then picked up Josh & Alex. We met everyone else down at the stage. I'm so glad that Baby J's first live music was the Tornados in our little hometown. He only was scared when the feedback got loud. About 12 of us went to Gourmet Pizza and Baby J had a bottle and fell asleep in the loud booth. He did wonderful Friday night.

On Saturday my parents had Michael so they all came over to babysit and to have a sleep over. John and I had a local wedding to go to. My parents said he did great, except the last MAJOR meltdown. I was glad I came home earlier then John. When I walked in, it was the tail end of his meltdown. When the baby has a meltdown I feel so bad for him AND whoever is watching him also.

Tonight is Sunday. John and I played some old school Super Mario Bros. together and now the Lakers are on. This household is so busy, with so many people dropping by, its very nice when it's just the three of us.

Oh, and the painting for the nursery came on Friday. I bought it off Etsy. It is beautiful. I'll post a pic of that later.

We're rolling! Sorta.

So everyday I try to put J5 on his tummy to strengthen his neck muscles (I don't know why, babycenter told me to). So today while he was looking around he rolled to his side. He was stuck on his right arm for a sec and then BOOM! He rolled onto his back. Yes, it was sorta like a crash, but I'm still counting it. He sometimes tries to roll from his back to his tummy, but he can't seem to move that melon of his.

He is so cute!!

Count down...

So I go back to work on the 25th. I am sad to leave my little love nugget, but I hope that he understands that I am going back to work for our family. You can't beat our health insurance. Anyway, not much else going on except that today I discovered pretzel M&M's. Dangerous.
