It's started...

I remember my dear friend telling me a story where her son asked her a tough question, gave her a couple seconds and then said, "never mind I'll ask dad".

Well, my first tough question happened. We were driving on my street and John was pointing and telling me, "Mama cow" "Mama doggy" "Mama tree" and then all of sudden...

"Mama where dinosaur??"

My response: "well buddy, that's kind of a long story..."

Mom fail. :)

Blog Challenge

1. Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, working out?

I like all music when I am happy, like Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood, Oldies, 80's, everything. Some newer bands I like are Florence, Mumford, Matt & Kim, Zac Brown, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Silversun Pickups. I know those aren't all "new", but they aren't as old as say Zeppelin or Fleetwood.

My best sad or I guess "cheer up" song is Bob Marley, 3 little birds. I like country music, but even if you aren't sad some of those songs can make you cry. Like, Lady Antebellum, hello world. Or Tim McGraw, live like you were dying. Total tear jerkers for me.

I like Rise Against, Tool, Eminem or pop music for working out.

Oh, one of my all time faves is Tori Amos.

I like too many artist to narrow this one down.

2. Nicknames I have.

Hil, Hila, Shorty, Hildegard, Babe, Hilz, HilaMarie (that is not even my middle name), Pill... I think that is it.

ps - I can't figure out what type of font to use on my blog so it will prob be changing a lot. sorry. :)

Blog Challenge

In attempt to blog more I am going to try one of the blog challenges. Day 1 is a recent picture of yourself and 10 facts.

1. I give inanimate objects life and feelings.

2. I like raw potatoes.

3. 90s "grunge" music is probably my favorite.

4. I met my husband the night before his 20th birthday. He is almost 34 now.

5. I had imaginary friends when I was little. Like for reals I did.

6. My favorite food is probably sushi. I'm pregnant now & miss it terribly.

7. Currently everybody living in this house is male except me. 1 husband, 1 son, 1 fetus, 3 dogs... all male.

8. My hair is curly and I hated it growing up. My mom always said, "one day you'll like it". I actually do now. I never have to use a blow dryer.

9. I love swimming in the ocean. I think the salt water is healing.

10. I have had the same best friends for over 20 years.
