I’ve been MIA on the blog lately. I’m torn about blogging. I like it and I would be so sad if the blogs I read decided to stop, but I feel weird about blogging about my son. On the other hand it is basically my virtual baby book. I have much better records of what he is up too b/c of this blog.
What do you think?
Onto another topic. We have decided to save a little bit more moola, dinero. Here is what I am going to start doing (baby steps people):
- No more afternoon coffees or lattes from my work Starbucks (Yes, my work has a Starbucks café. Dangerous)
- Collect Sunday coupons (side note – do you say Q-pons or COO-pons?) from my MIL & Mamacita and I think I need to quit Vons & shop at Staters. Everyone says it is cheaper.
- Go grocery shopping once a week, with a list & have our meals planned out (as best as possible) for the week. I think I waste a lot of time & money at the grocery store currently.
What am I saving for:
- Our savings account (duh?)
- Munch starts school late August
- I want another tattoo, perhaps around my bday (Dad – don’t read this)
More word vomit… last weekend we went to LA for Heathers bday. It was lots of fun. We went to the Hudson for brunch, Cabo for more drinks & Mexican food and the Standard for a sec. We were so tired at that point. I’m always so excited to go out and get ready, plan an outfit, etc… Once I am out – I miss my kid. I think that is pretty normal though. At least, I hope it is. I’ll add some pics later. Oh, and it was hilarious that Mandy and I showed up in the same shirt!! Typical. The next day was Easter. I wasn’t sure how J would like his Easter basket & looking for eggs, but he had a blast running around with Slade. It is so cute watching them interact. J loves other kids. This makes me so excited for him to start school.
OH, he got into Montessori. He’ll start in the fall. We are so excited, plus he got the teacher we wanted. He’ll love getting to be with other kids. When I seriously think about it though, I get nervous and sad for that first week though. I’ll want to watch from the window to make sure he is ok. AGH!
And last, but CERTAINLY not least, I am failing at sleep training my kid. I need a professional. He turned one and was doing so good! And then. And then he got the flu and it hasn’t been the same since. He wants a bottle in the middle of the night. I have tried to let him CIO – rarely works. I’m not going to let him get hysterical or cry for 30 minutes. He doesn’t want water, he’ll straight-up chuck the bottle. He wants MILK. Which makes me think he needs a bigger dinner. So, I try that and he still won’t sleep through the night. UGH – I.AM.TIRED.
Blargh.
